Established in the late 1800s, Hotel Kämp is a true Helsinki landmark. Since then it has attracted more of Helsinki's finest: stores and elegant cafes. Kämp neighborhood hosts the likes of Louis Vuitton store, and all of Helsinki's five Michelin star restaurants and many cultural landmarks. All within a short walking distance . Discover hidden gems like the National Library or request Hotel Kämp's driver to take you to Fazer Experince visitor center to experience chocolate. After 20 years of working as concierge of Hotel Kämp, me and my colleagues enjoy the challenge of tailoring a specific Helsinki experince just for you - so just ask!

At the moment, I highly recommend visiting "Inherit the dust" exhibition at the National Museum. It's by a British photographer Nick Brandt who's work explores the world we are leaving behind. Powerful stuff! https://www.kansallismuseo.fi/en/exhibitions/inherit-the-dust-nick-brandtin-valokuvia. See the exhibition until 1.9.2019.

Esplanade park is the home of historical restaurant Kappeli where famous Finnish artists and poets used to spend their time. You can also find our national poet J.L. Runeberg's statue in the park - and if you listen really carefully he might tell you his story. https://patsaspuhuu.fi/runeberg/?lang=en .

Helsinki is a truly unique capital in the way the city life and nature embrace. Summer is the time to make the most of the sea and the nearby islands - all of which have their own profiles and activities. I like Pihlajasaari for enjoying the sun, Vallisaari with my dog for nature walks, and Lonna for sauna and good food. Remember to check Lonna's events online when visiting Helsinki!
If you don't have enough time to explore the islands, take a walk via the shoreline from Kauppatori to Eiranranta. There's plenty of beautiful views along the walk, and also interesting places to stop for some food or drinks, like Cafe Ursula, Mattolaituri and Löyly.

Mojitos never go out of fashion, but did you know, there's a lot that goes into making a perfect Mojito? The basis for creating a tasty Mojito, comes from quality rum. The best result also requires a balance of fresh lime and sugar, topped off with the intoxicating fragrance and taste of mint. Only a gentle touch will bring the mint leaves to life. Try the different Mojitos at Kämp Collection Hotels bars like St. George's Wintergarden, Bar Kämp, Haven, Lilla e and Klaus K Bar & Lounge, and find your favourite.
